This audio-literary work was created for Vancouver’s Western Front as part of G.P.S., a music series which brought together writers and composers to create site-specific commentaries informing specific geographic spaces in Vancouver.
Created in partnership with Vancouver composer (James Maxwell), the piece spliced environmental sounds and composed music with recorded oral histories from my grandfather, whose childhood as spent as a squatter on the Kitsilano Beach in Vancouver.
